Accounting Associate

Job Description

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000 to $55,000 Annually

Experience:

    • Accounting: 1 year or more (Preferred)
    • QuickBooks or any Accounting Software : 1 year (Required)

What would you be helping us with?

    • Entering daily transactions for all of our clients using a number of software platforms
    • Responding to requests from clients on general accounting needs (i.e. running reports, responding to requests, etc.)
    • Prepare reconciliations (i.e. bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, general ledger accounts, etc.)
    • Perform self-review to ensure that accounting is accurate
    • Prepare financial statements and provide overview to client
    • Establish, document, and evaluate internal processes for the best client experience.
    • Assist in helping our clients get through audit and tax preparation

Qualifications

    • Energized by working with non-profit organizations
    • Experience with Quickbooks Online
    • Experience in non-profit accounting preferred.
    • Tech savvy. Must be able to learn software quickly. Experience working on a Macbook is preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience

– Assisting with management responsibilities for a team of 4 accounting associates

– Leading board and finance committee presentations for assigned clients

– Providing budget and forecasting services for assigned clients

– Conducting interviews for new accounting associates

– Training new accounting associates and assisting with their evaluations

– Reviewing audits, 990’s, and monthly reports for accuracy

– Entering transactions for assigned clients using a number of software platforms

– Responding to requests from assigned clients on general accounting needs (i.e. running reports, responding to requests, etc.)

Accounting Manager

Salary: $70,000 to $110,000 Annually

Job Summary

The manager holds many responsibilities. He/She will oversee and handle the day-to-day operations of a team of 4 accounting associates. Advanced accounting knowledge, comfortability with technology, and management experience are all necessities. True success in this role is defined by the success of the team.

 

Responsibilities & Duties

· Manage a team of 4 associate accountants. Track team-wide tasks and upcoming deadlines, and coordinate with staff to ensure that your team has the tools they need to complete each task correctly and on time.

· Provide technical and social support to the team while developing each staff member to their full potential and efficiency.

· Professional development of the team, including providing in-service training on technical advances in non-profit accounting.

· Regularly evaluate each employee and provide feedback to company leadership.

· Analyze and manage client profitability. Report feedback to company leadership.

· Research and continuing education in all areas of accounting and technology used internally and by clients.

· Perform bookkeeping services as needed for multiple complex clients or clients in transition.

· Support on-boarding of new clients to ensure adequate support to the primary bookkeeper.

· Onboard new employees and ensure their successful transition to the company.

· Interview candidates for new positions.

· Lead staff meetings and training.

· Review client financial statements on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

 

Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor’s in Accounting or Accounting-Related Field

· CPA license (preferred)

· 3-5 years of accounting experience

· 2-4 years of management and leadership experience

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

· Proficiency with any accounting software

· Local to Saint Louis or willing to relocate

Job Summary

Do you have an interest or passion for working with non-profit organizations? The Charity CFO is an accounting firm that works solely with non-profit organizations. We’re looking for someone to support our sales team in identifying more of the organizations that we would like to work with. This position will have a direct effect on The Charity CFO’s ability to support nonprofits, and those nonprofits’ ability to impact their community.

 

Email Lead Generator

– A fully remote independent contractor lead research position

– Candidates should expect 10 -15 hours per week with a flexible work schedule.

– No direct sales! No cold calling! All online research.

 

You must be committed to researching, being resourceful and asking questions. You need to value generosity and be willing to put in whatever it takes to get the job done.

 

 

Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • From a pre-determined list of nonprofit organizations, you will research and collect name, email, and title information for each organization.
  • Proficient in organizing and formatting the data into Excel or Google Sheets
